Senior Product & Trade Intelligence Manager
About the role
Own the translation of real physical-trade workflows into product logic, intelligence features and user experiences.
You should be able to understand how a transaction moves across commercial decisions, counterparties, documents, approvals, logistics, payment and settlement — and translate that complexity into simple software.
You’ll work closely with users, engineering and domain experts to help Nimbyl understand how physical trade actually operates and determine what should be built.
What you’ll work on
- Map end-to-end workflows across trading, procurement, EXIM, trade operations, documentation, logistics and finance.
- Conduct structured product discovery with traders, manufacturers, procurement teams and trade operators.
- Identify recurring user problems and distinguish them from individual feature requests.
- Translate problems into PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria and workflow requirements.
- Define transaction states, events, alerts, exceptions, approvals and escalation logic.
- Help design intelligence features around exposures, counterparties, documents and transaction activity.
- Work with engineering on workflow logic, APIs, integrations and AI-assisted capabilities.
- Support pilots and capture structured feedback from real transaction scenarios.
- Define adoption signals and product success metrics.
- Build structured domain knowledge around commodities, corridors, counterparties and trade processes.
Must have
- Strong product discovery and user-research capability.
- Experience writing PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria and workflow requirements.
- Ability to map complex operational processes and identify dependencies.
- Strong understanding of B2B workflow products.
- Excellent structured thinking and prioritisation.
- Ability to simplify complicated processes without losing important business logic.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working directly with engineers, users and domain experts.
- Ability to operate in an early-stage environment where requirements evolve quickly.

- You ask good questions before jumping to solutions.
- You can operate independently without waiting for detailed instructions.
- You take ownership of outcomes, not only assigned tasks.
- You care about understanding physical trade, not just performing your function.
- You’re comfortable building before a mature playbook exists.
- You can move between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- You communicate clearly when you disagree or see risk.
Education
Relevant professional experience matters more to us than a specific degree or pedigree.
We care more about demonstrated ability, domain understanding, judgment and the quality of your work.
